What? Is there a higher I hear you ask? Of course there is and just like you I had no idea that I could look beyond medicine into alternate therapies, and more importantly that a holistic treatment for back pain was just the beginning, and that there is so much more to well-being than simply being free from back pain.
I know I sound audacious, but what I am saying is grounded in reality, just that this is not the reality many people are exposed to.
And with this post I aim to expose this new reality to you, so you can look into a new horizon, where back pain becomes just a blip on the journey, that will be tackled along the way, but the focus will become something else.
Eager to know what it is? Then tag along!
Beyond Holistic Treatment for Back Pain
Regain your vitality!
Yes, read that again, we’re talking about regaining your vitality as something important and essential to focus on, because when you focus on this one thing, it ends up taking care of several other things. It’s like water gushing through a canal and clearing out everything along the way.
So why is it essential to regain your vitality?
The simple answer is because we all have to recharge our batteries and in Traditional Chinese Medicine this aspect of our energetic system is called the Jing. Everybody is born with a certain supply of jing that they inherit, some more, some less, and over a period of time this element starts to get used up.
In essence, the difference between a vibrant (energetic) and a feeble life is the quality and presence of your prana as referred to in Indian medicine, and Jing in Chinese medicine. (DNA in Orthodox Medicine). Less jing, less vibrancy. This is why we all need to recharge our batteries, however, the problem is we often don’t even know it!
Now, that doesn’t mean we never recharge our batteries, it is that we don’t often do this consciously. And more importantly, don’t know the best process of going about it.
This then can end up leading to suffering various chronic ailments, which also includes back pain!
Now you know why those x-ray machines can’t get to the problem. Why those pills won’t do it, and why you seem to be going from one clinic to another helplessly trying to find an answer.
Now, I am not suggesting this is the only reason for back pain, because obviously there could be other aspects playing a role, like an injury, muscle weakness, essentially, pain resulting from some kind of physical trauma, or pain due to a lack of vitamins.
So if there is a physical injury, medicine can do a great job in providing interim relief. However, when it comes to more aggressive treatments like surgery, you’d better first check on all available non-surgical options, before going that route. Now, before I digress too much, if you need help discussing your unique situation, why not book a quick discovery call with me.
Coming back to the point of regaining your vitality, and the point about jing, when you focus on building jing, and boosting your energy flow, it helps you feel much more healthy and happy just because you’ve recharged your batteries in a more conscious way.
If you ask me, building your jing and improving your energy flow is one of the fastest paths to recovering from chronic illnesses like back pain.
And how did I come across this? Here’s a little background.
Honeymoon, the Fall, and Holistic Treatment for Back Pain
It happened on my honeymoon! I fell down hard, and injured my back, but, at that point I had no idea how bad the injury was. It was only after 20 years that I discovered I had had an impact injury which damaged my spine and I underwent surgery. As if it was the answer to the end of back pain, no it wasn’t.
In the 20 year time frame, I’ve had several surgeries done, so I know a thing or two about how far they can go in bringing you relief.
But then, just as if fate intervened, I had the fortune of being introduced to Tuina massage, a form of therapy having its roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine. I was away from my job for a 10 day course, and on return, I was practically glowing.
The next day when I returned to work, I went in and typed in my resignation. To say that I was blown away by what I had experienced would be an understatement. I was so excited about the prospect of what Traditional Chinese Medicine could do for me and others, that I had to quit my job and go take a deep dive into this new found way of healing.
Not only did I fly all the way to China to learn more, but I practiced Qigong, a powerful TCM practice, and also got my certification as an Acupuncture and Tuina Massage therapist.
Over the years I was starting to see for myself, how the body can be treated holistically, instead of treating it symptomatically as is the western approach. This awareness brought about more understanding, that as I did the practice, I was feeling more energetic, and frankly, was bursting with as much energy as someone in their 20’s.
I wasn’t just feeling way better, I had tapped into an elixir that provided anti-ageing-like benefits, and more importantly I was feeling more energetic than I had perhaps ever felt in my life.
Not at the cost of surgeries and medicines, but at the cost of a few changes in my lifestyle, and practicing a few forms of Qigong regularly.
The discovery that energy flow can be improved significantly, without having to learn complicated yoga postures was refreshing, and to this day, I see how being able to take care of your jing, and your energy flow can bring about not just relief from back pain, but help regain your vitality.
Why would you settle for holistic treatment from back pain, when you can have more? You can have both, back pain relief and vitality!
